Born on October 28 in Tokyo, Somei grew up surrounded by music and began performing live in her second year of junior high school.
Somei is a singer-songwriter who creates music that resonates with different emotions and individuals while singing about real-life experiences, whose stage name reflects her desire to connect with people through different forms of artistic expression, like the Somei Yoshino cherry tree, which blossoms, bears fruit, changes color, and sheds its leaves as it takes on different forms with each passing season.
She makes her debut in August 2023 with her first single “Ureu Kadoniha Fukukitaru (Joy Comes to the Gate of Sorrow)” from MusicRay'n/MiCLOVER, a production team and label within Sony Music.
