Use Linux LVM Storage Driver for LXD Virtualization 🐧🔥 Open Source | DevOps

In this video, we explore how you can use LVM (Logical Volume Manager) on Ubuntu Linux servers to manage storage for LXD virtual machines. LVM provides flexibility in managing your storage and how it's carved up. You can create an LVM "Volume Group" which consists of one or more physical disks attached to your system. The Volume Group can be registered with LXD as a Storage Pool. Once you have an LVM-backed Storage Pool, you can create LXD virtual machines, and place their Storage Volumes onto the new Storage Pool.

One of the key benefits of using LVM is that you can expand your Volume Group over time, by simply registering additional Physical Volumes with it. We will take a look at a demonstration of how this works, in this video.
